Our client is seeking an experienced financial manager / group accountant to oversee their financial operations and provide strategic guidance to ensure the financial health of the group.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, experience with dealership accounting practices, and the ability to handle multiple financial tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to our financial accuracy and compliance.
Requirements:- Accounting degree or equivalent
- Chartered accountant (SA) designation or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience in the automotive industry as an accountant or financial manager
- Experience with Evolve, Automate, Kerridge, or Autoline
- Clear criminal and credit records
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Dynamic, quick-thinking, confident, innovative, and hardworking
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of Autoline is essential
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Duties include but are not limited to:
Financial reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to management regarding financial performance and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Compliance and audits:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, dealership policies, and accounting standards.
- Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Expense management:
- Track dealership expenses, including operational and capital expenditures.
- Review and approve expense reports and ensure adherence to dealership policies.
