Junior Farm Supervisor
Our client based in Potchefstroom is looking to employ a junior farm supervisor to join their team.
Requirements:- Grade 12
- Mechanical experience is important. The candidate must know how to fix machinery on the farm
- Agricultural qualification will be beneficial but not a must
- Mechancial qualifications will be beneficial
- Bilingual - English and Afrikaans
- Driver's licence – EB/EC1 (Code 10 will be beneficial)
- Computer literate in Excel and Word
- Excellent people skills – must be able to motivate employees and be able to handle pressure
- Deadline driven
- Must be able to work under supervision as well as independently
Key responsibilities:- Assisting the farm manager and agronomists with any and all duties
- Planting of trial seeds at various trail sites
- Assisting with the mechanical aspect of the planters and other machinery
- Assisting with the management of labour workers
