Survey shows Kenya, SA top cashless payment users
James Kariuki, reporting on Africa Review, says that according to a recent survey, Kenyans and South Africans are the top users of cashless payments in Africa.

According to the survey, "The Cashless Journey", the use of the cashless system for buying and paying is increasing rapidly 'due to reliable mobile phone cash transactions' through services such as Safaricom's M-Pesa mobile phone-based money transfer system.
The report states that the 'use of cashless services has tripled since 2011 when cash payments stood at $21 trillion, while cashless payments amounted to $42 trillion.'
