Four radio stations offer live coverage of Netball World Cup

This year's Netball World Cup, starting on 7 August in Sydney, Australia will be broadcast on Radio 2000, Lesedi FM, Umhlobo Wenene and Ikwekwezi FM with live commentary and RSG and SAFM will cover the matches by way of reports.

Bessie Tugwana, the SABC's Group Executive: Sport stated, "As a public service broadcaster, in support of sports of national interest, we deemed it important that we ensure that some of our platforms carry this tournament, which in the netball world and indeed for netball fans in the country is a priority. Radio with its wide audience reach will ensure that we fulfil this mandate and stand behind our national Netball team in this highly competitive tournament."
