Media to encourage sobriety over Easter weekend
As the Easter weekend approaches, with its high road traffic, brandhouse is calling on South Africa's media to encourage responsible drinking by reporting actively on both misuse and responsible use of alcohol. Published stories and programmes, highlighting the role of alcohol in society (both positive and negative), can be entered for annual Responsible Drinking Media Awards (RDMA), which are currently open for entries. Through the RDMA initiative, brandhouse believes that journalists can make a difference by developing editorial pieces that support the responsible use of alcohol.
