Transforming a smartphone into an eye test kit

According to a report on BizTech Africa, a portable kit, consisting of a mobile app and clip-on hardware, which transforms a smartphone into an eye examination tool, is currently being piloted in Kenya.

Peek can be used by any non-expert with minimal training to gather detailed clinical information on a low-cost Android smartphone with a simple clip-on attachment.
