9 Kenya Power executives charged over national blackout
Nine executives of electricity distributor Kenya Power were on Wednesday, 19 January, charged in court over suspicion of involvement in a fault on the grid, which caused a nationwide blackout last week, Citizen TV reported.

The East African nation was enveloped in a blackout on 11 January due to what Kenya Power said was the collapse of some towers supporting a high voltage line. Power was restored after several hours.
