More Kenyans to get electricity
An additional one million Kenyans will be connected to the national power grid in the next five years, Energy Minister, Kiraitu Murungi has said.
At the same time, the minister disclosed Kenya had entered into an agreement with Ethiopia for the importation of electricity for in the border towns of Moyale and Sololo.
Speaking in Isiolo town on Monday, the Imenti South MP, said by 2012, a million more homes will be connected to electricity through the on-going rural electrification programme.
