The new offering in Kenya is provided via the Alcatel-Lucent Extended Communication Server (ECS), a solution that is said to transform the way small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) communicate by delivering integrated communication, collaboration and mobility solutions.

The ECS aims to deliver complete collaboration and unified communication via secured web access solutions, tailored to the specific needs of SMEs. Through the mobile push feature within ECS, employees can retrieve emails, calendar information, contacts and tasks in real-time on their mobile devices.

“Alcatel-Lucent has expanded its close relationship with KDN to include powerful data communications products that enable enterprise customers to transform their businesses, improving the level of availability and security associated with their communications systems,” said Amr El Leithy, head of Alcatel-Lucent's activities in Africa and the Middle East. “This new contract further strengthens our long-standing cooperation with KDN and highlights their confidence in our comprehensive solutions and local support capabilities.”
