    iBurst Africa expands into Kenya

iBurst Africa officially launches its operations as a broadband internet provider in Kenya this month. The general manager of iBurst Africa in Kenya, Loren Bosch says that a number of products have been lined up to be launched in the Kenyan market. In 2009, iBurst Africa is planning imminent deployments in five other countries in Africa, as well as plans to expand into other cities in the countries in which iBurst Africa has already launched.

The company has invested US$8million into Kenya for better coverage and speed in Nairobi. The investment also aims to create benefits to uplift communities by boosting economic growth.

To support iBurst Africa's prepaid system, it has introduced its connect and go! prepaid vouchers. With the “connect and go!" vouchers cost of traffic is based on the downloaded volume not on the duration of the session.

iBurst Africa has also developed the iShield and iSpeed services. iShield allows for online monitoring of internet connections for protection of the network against viruses and employees' internet abuse.
iSpeed is a bandwidth offering for high-speed access that combines with iShield.
