CIC seeks media help over land
The Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution (CIC) is concerned over failure to appoint the national land commissioner. CIC chairman, Charles Nyachae said its worrying that nine months after the set time, the land commission was not in place.
"The media and CIC were very vocal on these issues but the executive has found a way of out-wearing us by keeping quiet," he said. Nyachae said the media has the capacity to push the executive to respect the constitution
He said constitution will be of no value if it was not fully implemented.
Nyachae was speaking in Lake Naivasha Sawela Lodge during an editor's workshop on media involvement in the constitution implementation process.
