Teresa Settas Communications notches up significant new account gains

  • Teresa Settas Communications (TSC) has been awarded a further two-year contract to handle the media communications strategy for the Rand Show, the flagship of Kagiso Exhibitions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kagiso Media. This follows a highly successful communications and media campaign for the 2004 show that delivered in excess of R20 million of exposure across TV, radio, print and online over a 4-week period.
  • The Agency for Advertising and Marketing has appointed TSC as of April to handle all media relations for the wholly South African-owned brand.
  • On-Site Training has appointed TSC to assist in driving awareness of their training service to corporates and individuals in South Africa specialising in end-user computing packages such as the Microsoft Office suite, Visio, Project, CompTIA CTT+, IT Project+ and CompTIA CDIA+.
  • TSC also handles the CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association) account. CompTIA is a global trade association representing the business interests of the information technology industry, providing research, networking and partnering opportunities to its 20,000 members in 89 countries. The association is involved in developing standards and best practices, and influencing the political, economic and educational arenas that impact IT worldwide.

The four-year old PR consultancy has more than quadrupled billings and clientele since inception. Owner and founder Teresa Settas puts it down to employing proven best practices, establishing expectations and deliverables upfront and ongoing revision of strategy to ensure maximum return for clients. Foremost though, she adds that networking, immense flexibility and delivery is key to the survival of consultants.
